About Novas Recruitment

Novas Recruitment opened in January 2007 and offers an inspired approach to recruitment. It aims to integrate Novas Scarman approaches to linking communities and businesses with inclusive employment opportunities. It finds the right people for the right jobs, looking at the competencies that employers need, to offer the best services to their customers. In addition as part of the Novas Scarman Group, all profits from the business are reinvested into developing opportunities for excluded individuals and communities.

At the beginning of its start- up phase, Novas Recruitment successfully recruited for a wide range of vacancies across the North West, South West and London regions. These posts were advertised for free on the Reed Website, Novas Scarman own Website, in its shop front in the heart of Camden, and in local job centres.

Novas Recruitment is also building up an extensive temporary staffing bank. The team comprehensively interview support and administrative staff, and ensure the training packages equip them with the skills and knowledge to be effective temporary placements. All staff have been thoroughly checked and tested for numeracy and literacy before placements are given.

Novas Recruitment is now looking at expanding its work with businesses, other voluntary and public sector employees to provide comprehensive recruitment services.

The team also links with enabling Novas Scarman customers and others from disadvantaged backgrounds into work placements, giving both them and businesses anything from a short taster of their abilities and interests to more structured traineeships

Novas Recruitment enables volunteering and work shadowing experience for people from wide range of backgrounds who are looking at contributing to local community initiatives or gaining a track record in a new work area. Options are extensive, and include community support, communications, art gallery work, business development, and architecture to office administration amongst others.
