People with mental health problems suffer greatly from the effects of prejudice and are one of the most vulnerable groups in our society.
We provide excellent short and long-term mental health services. We try to make the services easy to access, flexible and responsive. We also work proactively with customers' families and promote mental health services within local communities.
We work in partnerships with other organisations and agencies to deliver high quality services and community-based programmes.
We provide mental health services to people between the ages of 18-65 and work to the guidelines of the Mental Health Act and the Care Programme Approach. We assess a person's needs, agree a care or support plan with them and put the support in place. We regularly monitor and review the person's progress and any changing needs.
We try to make sure that people can live as independently as possible after, for example, leaving hospital or a residential care home. We have a range of accommodation and 'floating support' services to achieve this.
People using our mental health services have opportunities to help monitor and develop our services. They can also do voluntary work and attend training courses. We can also often help people find employment.
