NSG East Midlands and East of England Training Packages

Novas Scarman Group East Midlands and East of England have developed comprehensive training to meet the need of grass roots community to develop the capacity of community groups and progression into social enterprise. We also deliver training the trainer packages to voluntary and public sector organisations who would like to deliver our packages themselves.

Social Enterprise Learning and Development Tools

The Novas Scarman Group East Midlands and East of England endeavor to equip individuals and groups with new tools, skills and the confidence to realise their visions and utilise their hidden assets. We provide a unique range of, hands-on, instructive tools which draw upon the ideas, creativity and entrepreneurialism of people of all ages and abilities.

Enabling Social Enterprise Communities

Novas Scarman Group is delivering assistance to community-based social enterprises in the North Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire areas. With funding from the European Regional Development Fund, up to 30 hours of support can be given and 20 groups have already signed up. Assistance has included a social enterprise ‘health-check’, business planning workshops, support to undertake research and marketing activities and a ‘mapping’ exercise to put the social enterprise in the context of the local community and economy.

Nurturing New Opportunities for New Communities

Established by Novas Scarman Group east midlands, NCISE (New Communities In Social Enterprise) is a new initiative that has a direct purpose of developing the resources, strategic inclusion and emergence of New Communities In Social Enterprise activity across the east midlands. With a regional infrastructure representing four (soon to be five) local area infrastructure networks and a current membership of 60 new community organisations, it has a direct aim of developing the hidden social enterprise potential of new communities across the east midlands. The NCISE website will be open in July 08 when it can visited on www.ncise.org.uk.
