500 older people are assisted to sustain their independent living through our floating support services. We support a further 120 older people to live in their own accommodation.
The Novas Scarman Group provides services to older people through our hostels, registered care homes and floating support services across the country.
Some of the older people using our residential services have a long history of homelessness and often require support around their physical health, alcohol dependency and mental health issues. This may include supporting individuals to minimise their alcohol dependency, access services in the community (such as appropriate benefits), enhance their personal care, or receive move-on support to more independent accommodation.
Our Older Person's Floating Support Services offer community based flexible support, which sustains people's independent living and supports social networks and quality of life.
