Dependency

The Dependency service is aimed at people who have had an experience of primary treatment, are prepared for their first steps back into living in the community and are in housing need with a local connection.

The aim of the service is to assist people to look at their alcohol consumption level and to explore opportunities to develop themselves with the overall goal of changing their lifestyle and moving towards managing alcohol use and a reduction or alcohol-free living.

The service provided is more intensive than that in the offender’s services as it involves some group work as well as support work carried out on a one to one basis. The accommodation is provided along with support around the specific needs identified and we can assist people to look at longer term housing options.
