Learning Power by Titus Alexander, Head of Campaigning at Novas Scarman, shows why learning how to campaign and take part in politics are essential to increase opportunities for the poorest and most disadvantaged people.
Sir Bernard Crick, citizenship adviser to the Government, has called this “A most important and timely publication”. Simon Woolley, Director of Operation Black Vote, agrees: “Social justice and equal opportunities need smart politics now than ever. Learning Power is packed with practical suggestions for smart politics at the grassroots.”
Novas Scarman will be running a series of roadshows on making a difference as part of a three year national capacity building programme for campaigning and advocacy, together with NCVO, bassac and NAVCA, starting in summer 2008.
