The Novas Contemporary Urban Centre - Liverpool has been developed over a period of seven years, in partnership with local community groups and the City. The venue covers 170,000 sq feet within a Grade II listed converted warehouse in a prominent location close to the city centre, Toxteth and China Town. It lies within an area increasingly labelled the ‘Independent Arts Quarter’ with the Novas Contemporary Urban Centre acting as a major regeneration catalyst for the area. The area already includes significant art activities and in close proximity will be the new 10,000 + arena on the docks, hotels and conferencing along with existing attractions from the Anglican Cathedral, the Albert Docks and the newly developed shopping centres in the City.
