South East
The South East Community Development team are based in Brighton and provide funding and responsive development support to small emerging community based initiatives in the South East Region. Primarily focusing on groups that have a health focus or are working with Children and Young People.
North East
Based in Sunderland the North East Team provides information, advice, guidance, development opportunities and investment into frontline organisations helping people back to employability through volunteering. This service, supported by the Regional Development Agency ONE NE, is pathfinding new and innovative links to jobs and training through the north east's thriving music scene, industrial heritage, museums, sports opportunities and may other "cultural assets". New volunteering opportunities are igniting peoples passions, giving them new skills and directions and helping them to release their CAN DO and control of their future. The North East Team is delighted to announce it has received NSG's Elsbeth Kyle Award for "Best Team of the Year 2009.
East Midlands and East of England
NSG East Midlands and East of England are based in Nottingham and deliver training packages primarily to community groups, provide Social Enterprise learning and development tools, enables Social Enterprise Communities, nurtues new opportunities for new communities, offers financial advice for Community Projects and we can assist community members in setting up a small community ownership grants scheme through our Can Do Investment Funds.
Wales
Novas Scarman in Wales are currently based in Cardiff. We can work across Wales but the vast majority of the work is in South East Wales. We manage a number of projects focusing on community development, community learning, digital inclusion and social enterprise support plus some international development work. We also provide training and consultancy in asset based community development (and its delivery toolkits), ICT support, social enterpise development and Equalities. Advice is provided to individuals and community groups. Our approach is based strongly upon partnership and this is a cornerstone of all projects.
